No Bake Energy Balls – 3 Recipes

Energy balls are the perfect snack to have especially when they are made at home because you can include in them the amount of protein and healthy nutrients that you like. They give energy before and after a workout, satisfy the sugar cravings and most importantly they are easy to make and adaptable to different dietary requirements.

There are so many recipes out there for energy balls, there really is something for every taste , from classic flavors like peanut butter or almond and cacao to the more unusual like rose, beetroot or pumpkin . The three that I am sharing with you below are my go to whenever i need an easy and quick recipe . I usually make a stockpile and keep in the fridge , I take them to work as snacks and my colleagues love them !

1 – Almond Coconut
2 – Peanut Butter Chocolate
3 – Date Almond

Recipes (Three in Total )

1 ) Almond Coconut (Makes approximately 22 pieces)
– 1/4 cup Crushed almonds
– 3/4 cup Gluten free Oats (or old fashioned oats)
– 1/4 cup Honey or Maple Syrup
– 3/4 cup Almond Butter (Fresh one)
– 3/4 cup coconut flakes

2 ) Peanut Butter Chocolate (Makes approximately 22 pieces)
– 1 cup Gluten free Oats (or old fashioned oats
– 1/2 cup Honey or Maple Syrup
– 1/2 cup Peanut Butter (Fresh one)
– 1/4 cup coconut flakes
– 1/4 cup cocoa powder
– 2 tbsp water

3) Date and Almond (Makes around 20 pieces)
– 1/2 cup Medjool dates (around 8 big dates soaked in hot water and processed into paste) you can alternatively use ready date paste
– 1 cup Gluten free Oats (or old fashioned oats)
– 1/2 cup Almond Butter (Fresh one)
– 2 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup
– 1 tsp Vanilla

How to Prepare them

1) All the above three are made using the same method. Just mix ingredients together and make sure they are well combined.

2) Cover and chill in the fridge for approximately 15 minutes so it will be easier for you to roll them

3) Remove from fridge and roll into balls

4) Store in air tight container in the fridge for up to one week
